Great show guys, I love Sour Beers and now I am itching for a few. Of course, it's not even noon here, so I am stuck wanting. A few notes.
#1 Jeff, Jeff, Jeff... Vinnie broke out a bottle of TEMPTATION (batch 1) from his collection - the best Belgian sour beer you can get (how many gold medals does Vinnie have for that?). You also failed to mention the 5 gallon glass carboy FULL of bret just sitting there in Russian River. Most brewers are afraid of the slightest contamination in their brewhouse, but there it was - just sitting there like a bad ass at a star trek convention.
#2 Anchor Steam in SF with fresh Crab, on the pier... it is a nearly perfect experience. Oh, Steam Beer is open fermented in large pool-like vats. Amazing to see (I know you've seen it Jeff).
#3 Wollaver's Organic beer is available on the West Coast - so apparently a pretty good distribution.
#4 Beer Turkey Brine - We're trying Alaskan Smoked Porter (three bottles) this year with our friendly get together this Saturday. It'll soak for 12 hours or so (overnight).
#5 La Follie is truly a wonderful, wonderful beer. We can't normally get it out here, but when we see it, we love it.
Using (Wasting) 3 bottles of AKSP on a turkey!?! Come on Rick, there has to be a reasonable replacement so that you can save those bottles and send them to me.
That should cover the wager and interest of the Super Bowl bet that you never paid up on...
Rick you are a genius; I'm sticking a few breasts in Smoked Porter for Thursday. Mmm ... "breasts in Smoked Porter." There goes my productivity for the day.
Back in July, BYO had an article on the original German steam beer called Dampfbier. Though the article is not available on-line, I did find some interesting information at this site. It is lagered, so that doesn't help with the question of whether Germans produce any ales.
Everyone - I need to apologize. I had some email issues and didn't realize it till just now. It is fixed, so, if you have contacted Rick via the website for the Blind CBR show, please re-send your comments.

Any listeners in the NYC area this weekend should note that Mugs Ale House in Williamsburg (Brooklyn) is having a Belgian Beer fest Saturday and Sunday. And they will have New Belgium's La Folie on Sunday along with Russian River Depuration and Damnation on Saturday. What great timing to hear such great things about a few beers then immediately get to taste them in an area that is not in their distribution zone!
Craft Beer Radio is an Internet talk show about craft and micro brewed beers. The mission of the show is to spread the word of good beer. We introduce people to craft beer, and teach them about different beer styles, brewers who make them, and beer history. Whether you are new to craft beer or have been drinking it for more than 20 years we have something for you.

Patience on the Super Prize. It should be worth it.

No more talking about
No more talking about cooking with AKSP until I receive at least 3 bottles in the mail!
