In this show Jeff gains a new appreciation for the Irish Red Style. It's a great start of 2007 as every beer was very good, and choosing the ranking was very hard.
Great show guys. I'm anxious to find the Tasgal and FFF now. We can get the Heather Ales out here (my wife's a big fan of the Fraoch).
Wanted to mention another excellent Scotch (that's a drink, not a people) brew: Traquair Jacobite. My wife picked it up on a lark while watching the Masterpiece Theater Kidnapped and it blew our socks off. Got bottles galore aging now. Can't wait to try it after a year or two. Highly recommended.
Also, add Lagunitas' Imperial Red to your "not exactly a red but incredibly good" list. Still a few sixers floating around my area and I grab 'em whenever I can.
... and if spiced beers aren't your thing (as they aren't mine), try the straight Traquair House Ale - same thing without the spices. A huge malty brew that is hands down the best beer from Scotland I've ever had.
Can we see any pics of your studio/basement... the cellar beers, the fridge and the furnace ?

Craft Beer Radio is an Internet talk show about craft and micro brewed beers. The mission of the show is to spread the word of good beer. We introduce people to craft beer, and teach them about different beer styles, brewers who make them, and beer history. Whether you are new to craft beer or have been drinking it for more than 20 years we have something for you.
