CBR 83: Lost Abbey

We have our first experience with beers from Lost Abbey/Pizza Port and it was quite the experience. Lost Abbey makes some stunning beers. And the show, it is what it is.

yup...

only tried three Lost Abbey beers myself and walked away believing two of them were 'beer moments' in my life. Tomme once made a beer called Hop 15 that Michael Jackson called one of the best in the world (used 15 different hop varieties!). Sadly, I neglected my second bottle of this and it is now most likely a good Barley Wine. His Angel's share, speaking of Barley Wine, was the other 'beer moment' I mention. Simply amazing what that guy is doing. (I called him "Tome" at first too - for some time)

I can't remember if you mentioned that Lost Abbey is brewed on the old Stone brewery... if not - well, it is (what it is).

Great show gents. Greg, thanks for making the trip each week. Oh - thanks for the mention with regards to Draft too.

Hey Rick, if you haven't heard yet, the Hop 15 is now a regularly bottled beer as of this last month. Not sure how far north it's made it, but it's available in SD and LA areas.
