Blu-Ray/HD DVD
Not to stoke the fires of a now quiet battlefield but ...
Jeff you're right on. Blu-Ray prices are not comin' down. They don't even have Blu-Ray 2.0 players yet and the current crop are not upgradeable. Why would the new players be cheaper than the less capable forerunners any time in the near future?
Consumers lost heavily. Sub-$200 HD-DVD players were out there before the death knell. It'll be 2011 before we see a sub-$200 Blu-Ray player (with upgradeable firmware), I'm sure. Sony's gotta try and get back some of that "switch to Blu-Ray" payola they shelled out to everyone.
Just what you guys needed, eh?
