Damnation
Nice show on RRB, guys. Damnation is definitely not only my favorite beer from Vinnie, but one of my favorites period. Gives Duvel a serious run for it's money.

Greg, my front left light is out ironically.
The majority of Damnation, as well as the rest of their beer, is made with WLP500, the Chimay yeast. Most of the Damnation was secondary fermented in the bottle with red wine yeast. The RR beer log with info on each bottling can be found at http://russianriverbrewing.com/web/bottle/index.html Though, according to this 001 was secondaried with california ale yeast. I forget which batch it was, but I believe one of the first few bottlings was accidentally contaminated with the RR sour bugs.
Vinnie talks about this beer and the "tions" in Brew Like a Monk, not farmhouse ales, but that entire trilogy is A+.
FYI the number 23 is Vinnie and Natalie's lucky number. It is located somewhere on every beer they brew, and they tend to always do something special on the 23rd batch of beers.
I believe the "Biere de Sonoma" was spontaneously fermented with the airborne funk wafting into RR from the nearby wineries.
Scott should be a regular, he is awesome.

Wow, 001 is 4 years old now too. Would have been really interesting to try that rarity up against a fresh Damnation too. Good show.
