Good Show

I really enjoyed this one. I live in Chicago and get to enjoy Goose Island beer a lot. It was fun to hear what someone who doesn't normally drink it thinks about the beer.

I very rarely get to drink the Bourbon County Stout (last time was on my birthday a few months ago). It's really good and really thick. My friends didn't like it. I think there was to many different flavors for them. I can see that. It's not a beer you can drink. You have to sip it, and it helps to have food.

Uneven GI experiences

I lived in Chicago for a while and was happy to discover Goose Island. Their Christmas Ale drew me in, and soon I was a regular customer. Unfortunately, once I moved away from the area, my experiences with GI brews grew increasingly uneven. I'd have one sixer that was fantastic, and the next would be mediocre to awful. Honker's Ale was the one style that suffered the most. It's gotten to the point that I won't buy it unless I'm visiting Chicago.

I'm glad that you were able to have examples on the show that do show off how good the brewery can be.

Great Show

Being from Chicago, I've been a big Goose Island fan for years. Just discovered you podcast and I'm going through all the old shows. Didn't know how little I knew about beer.

Anyway, hope you don;t mind that I reviewed your podcast on my blog, The Podcast Place.
