First of all: Cool that you're the official SAVOR broadcaster and get mentioned at all the salons. It's a great documentation of some very interesting speeches.
Here are my top three:
Cult Beers:
Tomme and Vinnie are simply entertaining. Plus, I was in Belgium three weeks ago, for the "Weekend of Spontaneous Fermentation" lambik festival, so it's fun to hear some of the thoughts they have had in starting this up. I have heard the story of The Five in Belgium a million times or so by now but this was the most detailed account of Jean van Roy's help in developing the American Lambik.
Belgian Special Releases:
Peter's accent took me right back to Belgium :) And it's always very interesting to hear how brewers are working with wild yeast and bacteria, even if there was some repetition from the Philly Beer Week Allagash interview.
Jim Koch:
He may not be the best speaker in the world, but this was really interesting. All the details on how they started making Triple Bock and Utopias was really fun.
Thanks for bringing us all into SAVOR (minus the outstanding beers)
Thanks for the comments,
Thanks for the comments, Chris. We have a Savor wrap-up that we hope to post soon.
I too finally powered my way
I too finally powered my way through Savor. While I was not able to attend I thoroughly enjoyed the coverage. Additionally, I appreciated Greg asking questions during the salons. Overall I would say great job guys! Now put out more shows! :)
More thanks
Great job again, guys. Very much enjoyed experiencing the event vicariously. Thankyou!
Got BILK!!??
